As part of its commitment to forming communities that are compatible with Qatar’s remarkable growth, the government is planning a Social Development Program to create a fulfilling society in a wide range of fields. These include education, health and medicine, environmental and urban development, sports promotion, and arts and culture.
Over a five-year period, LNG Japan assisted in the building of a primary school teacher training facility on Qatar University’s campus.
We are also sponsoring several events that utilize these facilities.
LNGJAPAN intends to continue such socially beneficial activities that contribute to Qatar society.
At the University we held a science show, a familiar concept in Japan. In addition to Japanese expatriates posted to Qatar, representatives of our partner Qatargas attended the event.
In response to the positive result of the previous year, we continued to hold the science show in 2020. The program was upgraded by using Helium gas, one of our related products.
In response to the spread of COVID-19, we conducted a hand-washing workshop to educate children on the importance of hygiene.
To highlight the importance of educational toys in early childhood education we donated educational toys from around the world.
After the COVID-19 pandemic retreated and human traffic numbers recovered, we held the science show for the first time in three years.
In response to the favorable reception of the previous science show in 2023 and requests to hold it again, LNG Japan continued to have the science show in 2024 with new contents.
